This policy explains how e10 Infotech Private Limited collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or engage us for work. We have written it in plain language rather than legal shorthand.

§01Who we are

e10 Infotech Private Limited is a software and digital services company incorporated in India, with its development centre in Mumbai, Maharashtra. For the personal information we collect through this website and our own business operations, e10 Infotech is the data fiduciary, also described as the data controller in some jurisdictions.

§02What this policy covers

This policy covers information we handle for our own purposes: website visitors, enquiries, marketing, recruitment, supplier relationships and client account administration. It does not govern personal data that we process inside a client system on that client instruction. That situation is covered separately below under our role as a processor.

§03Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit a website form, email us, call us or engage us for a project, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, company name, job title, country, and the details of the work you are asking about. If you apply for a role, we also collect the contents of your application, including your CV and anything you choose to send with it.

Information we collect automatically

When you use the website we collect technical information such as IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and the time spent on them. This comes from server logs and from analytics tooling.

Information from cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and comparable storage to keep the site working, remember preferences and understand aggregate traffic patterns. Detail on each category and how to control it is in our cookie policy.

Information we do not want

Please do not send us sensitive personal information that we have not asked for. That includes government identity numbers, financial account numbers, health information, biometric data or passwords. If you need to share something of that nature for a project, ask us first and we will agree a secure route.

§04How we use information

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal, scope or quote
  • To deliver, support and invoice work you have engaged us for
  • To operate, secure, debug and improve our website and internal systems
  • To send service updates, and marketing you have asked to receive
  • To assess applications when you apply for a role
  • To keep accounting, tax and contractual records required by law
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents

§05Our legal grounds

In India we rely on your consent, and on the legitimate uses permitted by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, to handle personal data. Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies because you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on one of the following: your consent, the performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in running and securing the business. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time.

§06Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

We share it only in these situations:

  • With service providers who host our systems, send our email, process payments or provide analytics, acting on our instructions
  • With professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where they need it
  • Where you have asked us to, or given consent
  • Where we must, to comply with law, a lawful request or a court order
  • To establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights, property or safety of e10, our clients or the public
  • To an acquirer, in the event of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, under equivalent confidentiality terms

We require the providers we use to protect the information and to use it only for the purpose we engaged them for.

§07International transfers

We are based in India and we serve clients in more than 25 countries, so your information may be accessed from, or stored in, a country other than your own. Where we move personal data out of a jurisdiction that restricts transfers, we use a lawful transfer mechanism such as standard contractual clauses, together with the security measures described below.

§08Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including access control on a need to know basis, encryption of data in transit, hardened infrastructure, logging, and confidentiality obligations on staff and contractors. Related detail is in our security policy.

No system is completely secure and no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed. We cannot promise absolute security, and we ask you not to assume it.

§09How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as long as the law requires. Enquiries that do not become projects are cleared on a routine cycle. Client records, contracts, invoices and tax documents are kept for the statutory retention periods that apply in India. Recruitment records are kept only for the current hiring cycle unless you agree we may keep them longer. When information is no longer needed we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.

§10Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you can ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal information we hold about you and give you access to it
  • Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
  • Delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep
  • Provide a copy in a portable format
  • Stop sending marketing, which you can also do with the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
  • Withdraw a consent you previously gave
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf, where Indian law allows it

Write to [email protected] and we will respond within the period the applicable law sets. We may need to verify your identity first. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

§11Where we act for a client rather than for ourselves

When we build or run a system for a client, any personal data inside that system belongs to the client relationship. The client decides what is collected and why, and we act as a processor under their instructions and under the confidentiality and data protection terms in our contract with them. If you are an end user of a system we built for someone else, please raise your request with that organisation. If you contact us instead, we will pass it to them and tell you we have done so.

§12Third party sites and services

Our website links to other sites and embeds third party services, including analytics. Those parties operate under their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. Please read their policies before you give them anything.

§13Children

Our website and services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child. If you believe a child has given us information, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.

§14Automated decisions and AI

We use AI tooling inside our own delivery workflow, for example to accelerate engineering work. We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal effects for you, and we do not feed client confidential material into third party AI services without the contractual permission to do so.

§15Grievance redressal

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information or your request, you can escalate it to our Grievance Officer at [email protected], marking the subject line as a grievance. We will acknowledge it and give you a written outcome. If you remain unsatisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the supervisory authority in your own country where one has jurisdiction.

§16Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects your rights we will give prominent notice on the website. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

§18Frequently asked questions

Do you sell my personal information?

No. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with service providers acting on our instructions, with advisers, where you ask us to, or where the law requires it.

How long do you keep my enquiry?

Enquiries that do not turn into projects are cleared on a routine cycle. If we start working together, the record is kept for the contract and for the statutory accounting and tax retention periods that apply in India.

How do I ask for my data to be deleted?

Email [email protected] from the address you contacted us on, and say what you want removed. We may verify your identity, then delete anything we have no lawful reason to keep.

Which privacy law applies to e10 Infotech?

We are an Indian company, so the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 applies. Where you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also handle your data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation.

Is my data stored in India?

We are based in India, so data may be stored or accessed there. Because we serve clients in more than 25 countries, some providers we use operate elsewhere. Restricted transfers are made under a lawful transfer mechanism.

Do you use cookies?

Yes, for essential site function, preferences and aggregate analytics. Categories and controls are set out in the cookie policy.

Who is responsible for data in a system you built for my company?

Your organisation is. You decide what is collected and why, and we act as a processor under your instructions and our contract with you.

Do you put my confidential material into AI tools?

No, not without contractual permission. We use AI inside our own delivery workflow, but client confidential material is not sent to third party AI services unless the contract allows it.

How do I stop marketing emails?

Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or write to [email protected]. Service and project emails about live work will continue.

Do you collect data from children?

No. Our services are aimed at businesses. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to [email protected] and we will remove it.

What happens to my data when a project ends?

We return or delete client material according to the project contract, and keep only what we need for records, warranty obligations and statutory retention.

How do I raise a complaint about privacy?

Email [email protected] marking it as a grievance. If you are still unsatisfied you can approach the Data Protection Board of India or your local supervisory authority.
